2012 Your opinion

I thikn 2012 is a load of bull since there is no way for the Earth to become the center of the universe, there is a black hole in the center that will NOM NOM NOM us up. Planet X is to far away and will take longer then 3 years to reach us.

Planet X is dreadfully far away. It'd take at least 20 years. So, if 2012 really was to happen, we'd have to wait until 2032 and even more to actually get saved.

Uh...what are your proofs that it is so far away?

and there's much more things that could happen. NASA prevented that close in the future, there would be intense radioactive activity in the sun's core, hurling enormous quantity of radioactive waves and plasma everywhere around (wich means on the Earth too) causing enormous damages.

And Also, the Yellowstone's supervolcano's activity is increasing every yeras...if it errupts, all the gas realeased in the atmosphere could cause a 2nd ice age and kill everyone in USA and some parts of Mexico and Canada by suffocation. A WW3 would start to appropriate ressources and Southern territories.

Plus, there's the global warming wich is making melt the North Pole and Greenland's ice. if all the ice melt, the sea current (that makes hot and cold wind) would stop, stopping the repartition of heat on the globe, causing there again an ice age.

So...MAYBE NOT IN 2012 but something will DEFINATELY happen soon

Meh, I was reading an article on what would the world be like in 100 years if we didn't stop global warming, not a nice place.
First of all, land masses would be much smaller, since the sea would rise around 6-7 feet. Imagine How much New Orleans is going to get screwed if this happens? Also, it said that we'd have smaller, but more violent storms in the world. Sounds like a few more categories for tornadoes and hurricanes.
The last thing I remember is that the world would be a MUCH warmer place, and some trees would die. What I figured out in the article is that a lot of trees hold Carbon Dioxide or whatever, and would screw us over even faster if they died.

Well, the world is definately gonna change... you guys better get yourself ready to adapt...

Uh, okay, here's proof that Planet X is far away: It takes 2 years to get to Mars. About 15 years to get out of our solar system. How do you expect a Planet which we don't even know of, that's not in our solar system, to rescue us on time?

Also, even though we are screwed, and bound to die one day, what is the end of the world? Is it the end of time? The end of the Universe? The end of mankind? There is also no proof that it will happen in 2012.

I personally think that, to begin with, people should stop over-consuming. Which is a bit hypocritical, too. By staying on the computer much longer than the time we're supposed to (aka none) we are wasting energy. By drinking water taken from places untouchable, we are drying out the natural supplies of good water. By using plenty of plastic bags, by destroying the Amazon's forests to fatten our asses, to sit in a lab studying some disease that only hits 1/100,000,000, of the people and wasting all money doing that, we are destroying and unbalancing the global system!

Somebody will have to die, somebody will have to leave this earth, and somebody will stop being a hypocrite.

Well, simply because the orbit of planet X is vertical, not horizontal like the planets in our solar system.

The supervolcano will release gigantic ammount of gas in the atmosphere, blocking every sunray. So the temperature on Earth will slide down, killing our vegetables and then destroying the order in the food chain. There will be famine everywhere, wars will start to get food and a new ice age will beging. Since we're not prepared or adapted to that kind of situation, A VERY SMALL PORTION OF THE HUMANITY WILL SURVIVE.

Only western parts and part of Asia will have to die. Africa and Europe will still survive.

Oh, and even though gasses CAN indeed block sunrays, it will generally fade away. The only downside is that America and most of the ocean will be covered in thick, black, stone.

I really doubt humanity will end the same way as the dinosaurs did.

Well, actually, by the time the gas fade, the ice age will already be started, and lots of people would be dead by hunger. And a shitload of people would suffocate by innalating sulfur

0blivion, guess what, we survived the last Ice Age man was in, and if by 2010/2011 supervolcanos get very violently shaking, people we figure 2012 was right and start stockpiling food and make bomb shells. We currently have some of the best thermal clothing possible so thats gonna make it easier, and we can pull a Nohas Arc like story but calling it: Bomb Shell Arc, and put lots of animals in thar!

The activity in the supervolcano is already high, and it wont get REALLY HIGH 1 year before it happens...The sismic activity will remain the same, and the volcano will suddently errupt (because the pressure will be too high in the magma chamber). So we'll only be able to say it 1 week, or maybe day before it errupts.

Some people may probably have started to gather food, but do you think there's alot of them? They wont share their stuff with you, they care about their own survival, not yours, especially not a meanie's like you Blaze -_- .
Governement have the technology to save the people, but they only have the money to save few of them. They wont save 6 billions humans... especially not poor people such as most of Africans... There will be survivors, don't worry Blaze, but there will be lots of victims....

Well though 0blivion, once again proving mans idealistic(Wrong use of word?) superiority over all animals. It's true we can literally "pwn" every type there is, but that's just plain cruel. :E There needs to be an equal to us. All of us animals are like a bunch of Gaelic clans, the strongest one could own everyone other clan.
